By lengthening the cure time, we can soften and smooth the surfactant blend to another level of performance. Additionally, we add a creamy blend of jojoba oil and cocoa butter. Jojoba oil adds body and elasticity to hair; cocoa butter conditions and soothes the scalp. Bars are a great compliment to the liquid shampoos. Both work great. Can be used interchangeably.

As a shampoo, it’s fantastic. It leaves my hair feeling very thick and clean, and it lathers so well! Just make sure you apply conditioner afterwards, otherwise your hair will feel greasy. As soap? It’s phenomenal. My underarm skin is extremely sensitive; I’ve had to use prescription desonide cream to help with the inflammation and blisters. Since I’ve started using this soap, the redness has almost completely disappeared! My skin feels way better, and I’m not scared to shave my underarms. It also works really well as a post-shaving wash; I get bad razor burn on my legs, but if I use this right after, I have way less bumps (it stings a little, but I don’t have to deal with days of ingrown hairs and red dots). All in all, it’s wonderful, and I’ll never go back to my old shampoos—or soaps!

I am updating my earlier review. I have found out that the way to get rid of the strange residue is to find the right conditioner to use after. I have found a great natural conditioner and now I no longer get that strange residue feeling. Now my hair feels thick and healthy! I also feel like I can wash my hair every day with this and it won’t damage it! This stuff is great! And way better than Lush’s shampoo bars because these are larger and sulfate free! 😉

I wanted to love this so bad! However, this shampoo just doesn’t do it for me. I have used other, natural, sulfate free shampoos before and have loved them! But there is just something off about this one (maybe its just this blend of essential oils?). Ok, so this shampoo made my hair feel really thick (even though its thick anyways) and made it less frizzy. However, I always feel like there is a residue left on my hair to the point where it feels almost greasy!!!! I love the products from this site, but I don’t know how I feel about walking around with greasy hair. Maybe I just got a defective bar…???
